Therapy Approach

Therapy with me is co-creating a space where challenging realities can co-exist with understanding and connection within yourself and those you navigate life with.

My approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and grounded in a systemic lens that honors the connection between your story, relationships, and the broader social contexts you move through. I believe healing is a process of becoming, and I practice from a person-of-the-therapist perspective, meaning I bring my full self into the space, including my culture, values, sensitivity, and lived experiences, to support a genuine and human connection.

My work is grounded in cultural humility, strong ethical care, and a commitment to social justice. I incorporate the ADDRESSING framework (Age, Developmental and acquired Disabilities, Religion, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic status, Sexual orientation, Indigenous heritage, National origin, and Gender) to thoughtfully consider how identity, power, and lived experience shape your world. I offer neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and disability-inclusive care, and strive to create a space that is accessible, responsive, and affirming of your full self.

I draw from the following approaches to support meaning-making, emotional regulation, and trauma processing:

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Family Systems

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

...always tailored to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family I collaborate with.

Through our collaborative sessions, we'll focus on self-discovery, emotional processing, building resilience, and understanding patterns that may be holding you back. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, creating a safe space where you can explore what matters most to you.

Couples Therapy

Our work focuses on building deeper connection, understanding relationship dynamics, collaborative problem-solving, and creating shared growth. Sessions are structured to address your specific relationship goals and challenges, providing practical tools and insights to support your journey together.

Family Therapy

We'll explore family dynamics, help each member understand different perspectives, develop collaborative solutions, and strengthen the bonds that matter most. Session structure is adapted based on your family's unique composition and goals, creating a supportive environment for everyone to be heard and understood.

I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy throughout Washington State, working with adults (18+) and younger family members in family therapy sessions.

Specialties

Life Transitions

I support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life transitions when something is shifting, ending, or asking to be redefined. This may include changes in relationships, career paths, identity, or where and how you live. These seasons can feel disorienting, tender, and complex. Therapy offers a space to slow down, honor what has changed, make meaning of what you are carrying, and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.

Grief & Loss

I hold space for people navigating grief and loss in its many forms. Grief may follow the death of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, changes in identity, or the quiet loss of what once felt familiar or certain. These experiences can feel heavy and difficult to name. In our work together, we create space to honor your loss, tend to your grief with care, and support you in moving forward at your own pace.

Grief, loss, and life transitions often unfold side by side. During these seasons of change, you may notice shifts in your relationships, identity, roles, or sense of direction. When these changes feel overwhelming, know that support is available.

  • My focus is supporting clients ages 18 and up, with the exception of family members that are under 18 in family therapy. While I welcome complexity as a solo practitioner , I am currently unable to serve as a crisis provider for folks in need of crisis stabilization or whose primary concerns fall outside my scope. When appropriate, I will provide referrals to help you connect with the right support.
