Therapy Approach
Therapy with me is co-creating a space where challenging realities can co-exist with understanding and connection within yourself and those you navigate life with.
My approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and grounded in a systemic lens that honors the connection between your story, relationships, and the broader social contexts you move through. I believe healing is a process of becoming, and I practice from a person-of-the-therapist perspective, meaning I bring my full self into the space, including my culture, values, sensitivity, and lived experiences, to support a genuine and human connection.
My work is grounded in cultural humility, strong ethical care, and a commitment to social justice. I incorporate the ADDRESSING framework (Age, Developmental and acquired Disabilities, Religion, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic status, Sexual orientation, Indigenous heritage, National origin, and Gender) to thoughtfully consider how identity, power, and lived experience shape your world. I offer neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and disability-inclusive care, and strive to create a space that is accessible, responsive, and affirming of your full self.
I draw from the following approaches to support meaning-making, emotional regulation, and trauma processing:
Narrative Therapy
Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
...always tailored to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family I collaborate with.
Specialties
Life Transitions
I support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life transitions when something is shifting, ending, or asking to be redefined. This may include changes in relationships, career paths, identity, or where and how you live. These seasons can feel disorienting, tender, and complex. Therapy offers a space to slow down, honor what has changed, make meaning of what you are carrying, and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.
Grief & Loss
I hold space for people navigating grief and loss in its many forms. Grief may follow the death of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, changes in identity, or the quiet loss of what once felt familiar or certain. These experiences can feel heavy and difficult to name. In our work together, we create space to honor your loss, tend to your grief with care, and support you in moving forward at your own pace.
Grief, loss, and life transitions often unfold side by side. During these seasons of change, you may notice shifts in your relationships, identity, roles, or sense of direction. When these changes feel overwhelming, know that support is available.
“You are allowed to take up space. You are allowed to want more for yourself.”
